Nathan-Paul wanted to bring a simple to read chart of major corporations dividend payout calendar. Most dividend are paid out quarterly so we wanted to show which large corporations are scheduled to pay dividends during what months.

WHAT ARE DIVIDENDS?

The portion of a business’s earnings that is distributed to shareholders as their profit-sharing payment is known as a dividend. The board of directors determines the amount of dividends to be paid out on a quarterly basis, taking into account the company’s most recent earnings.

Dividends could be given either as extra shares or cash. A corporation will notify shareholders of the dividend payment date when it declares a dividend and pays them into their accounts.

IMPORTANT DIVIDEND TERMS

Dividend Yield: The amount that a corporation pays out in dividends annually in relation to its stock price is shown by a financial ratio called the dividend yield. Dividend payout ratio (dPR) = total dividends paid / net income is the reciprocal of dividend yield.

Dividend Payout Ratio: The dividend payout ratio calculates the percentage of profits distributed to investors by a business. It is computed by dividing the total dividends disbursed to investors by the net income of the business.

Cash Dividend Payout Ratio: The total amount of dividends a business pays out to shareholders in relation to its net income is known as the dividend payout ratio. Simply expressed, this ratio is the portion of earnings distributed as dividends to shareholders.

Earnings Per Share (EPS): A company’s profitability is gauged by its earnings per share (EPS), which is determined by dividing its quarterly or annual income (after deducting dividends) by the total number of outstanding shares of stock. Investors view a company’s profit and worth as increasing with a larger earnings per share (EPS).

P/E Ratio: To find a company’s market worth, divide the current price of a common share by the earnings per common share (EPS) for the most recent reporting period. This yields the P/E ratio.

DIVIDEND STRATEGIES FOR LONG TERM GROWTH

Avoid the highest yields: high yields may be unsustainable and may indicate investors skepticism that the company can sustain current dividend and growth.

Growth Potential focuses on identifying and investing in companies that consistently increase dividend payments. Dividend Aristocrats are exclusive companies that have been paying consistently rising dividends for at least 25 years

DRIP (Dividend Reinvestment Plan), automatically reinvests the dividends you earn on your stocks, reits, or etfs investments into more shares of your investment.

Diversify By distributing your assets over a number of dividend-paying investments, you can reduce risk while diversifying your holdings.
