We hear all the time sportscaster use the term generational talent every year when it comes to a special player who has all the athletic traits and intangibles to take the pros by storm. This year I believe the hype will be around Cooper Flagg who was the number one ranked high school player in the country and has committed to Duke University. Cooper Flag went viral as he was a member of a select team scrimmaging with the men’s USA 2024 Olympic team and was making a huge impact In one moment seen by the media during the final 10 minutes of the scrimmage, Flagg — listed at 6-foot-8 and little over 200 pounds stole the show as the Select Team made a comeback against the NBA’s studs but ultimately lost at the end.
Flagg was making an impact during scrimmages, demonstrating why next season might be a tankathon among the league’s bottom-feeding squads competing for the No. 1 choice in the 2025 NBA Draft. I’m predicting the Portland Trailblazers will earn the first pick overall and select Cooper Flagg.
